Please join us at the Kirtland Temple and at other sites for meaningful events. At the Kirtland Temple, we offer annual Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter services as well as our Emma Hale Smith Hymn Festival. All are welcome to worship and celebrate!

You are invited to worship in the Kirtland Temple for the following special services:

Kirtland Community Thanksgiving Service

The annual service is organized and led by the Kirtland Ministerial Alliance, a coalition of civic and pastoral leaders from the Kirtland Community.
The Thanksgiving Service is on Tuesday evening, November 22, 2011, at 7:30 p.m.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

Christmas Hymn Festival

The Christmas Hymn Festival, Sunday evening, December 18, 2011.
The Christmas Hymn Festival, will be held at 7:30 p.m. and the doors will open at 7:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve Service

The Christmas Eve Service will be held Saturday evening, December 24, 2011, at 7:00 p.m.
Temple Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Kirtland Temple Easter Series

All are welcome to worship in the Kirtland Temple during the Annual Easter services series.
The series includes a Maundy Thursday service on April 21 at 7:00 p.m.
A Good Friday Easter service will be held April 22, 2011, at 7:00 p.m.
And an Easter sunrise service the morning of April 24 at 7:30 a.m.
The doors will open at 7:00.

Emma Hale Smith Hymn Festival

All are invited to the Emma Hale Smith Hymn Festival, held in the lower court of the Kirtland Temple on Monday evening, July 10.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
The Festival begins at 7:30 p.m.
This is a ticketed event.
Tickets reservations may be made by calling the Kirtland Temple Visitors Center at 440-256-1830.
All proceeds will go to the Kirtland Temple Endowment fund dedicated to the preservation of the Kirtland Temple.

Hymn Festivals

Emma Smith Festival Resources

The fifth annual Emma Hale Smith Festival was held in the Lower Court of the Kirtland Temple on July 14, 2008. Nearly 300 people gathered to celebrate the life and times of Emma Hale Smith through many of the hymns she selected in the early hymnals. July 10th marked the 204th anniversary of Emma Hale Smith’s birth.

Joseph Smith Festival Resources

A festival celebrating the 200th anniversary of Joseph Smith Jr.’s birth was held in the Lower Court of the Kirtland Temple on July 19, 2005. Nearly 300 people from a variety of faiths gathered in the Lower Court of the Temple to celebrate in song.

All are invited to worship and celebrate with us in the Temple at these services.
