Welcome
to the Kirtland Temple website. Kirtland Temple is a National Historical
Landmark located east of Cleveland, Ohio. The temple and the adjoining
Visitor and Spiritual Formation Center is owned and maintained by
the Community of Christ. Within these pages, one may catch a glimpse
of the temple's history through words and images. But a website
is limited; it cannot offer the experience of visiting this historic
house of worship and neither can it replace the intimacy of personal
or small group ministry that is the heart of the Spiritual Formation
Center.
Visitors travel from all over the world to visit the Kirtland Temple
and the Spiritual Formation Center. All are invited to study the
history of the early nineteenth century utopian community, to experience
the sacred space, and to engage in the spiritual disciplines that
help us grow in our discipleship.

"The Spirit
of God like a fire is burning;
The latter day glory begins to come forth;
The visions and blessings of old are returning;
The angels are coming to visit the earth.
"We'll sing
& we'll shout with the armies of heaven:
Hosanna, hosanna, to God and the Lamb!
Let glory to them in the highest be given,
Henceforth and forever: amen and amen."
